Wilson Immigration will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Election Day is a paid holiday for Wilson Immigration employees. Wilson Immigration recognizes the importance of voting and wants to make voting easy and accessible for its employees and everyone involved in our operation.
Wilson Immigration also recognizes that not everyone in this country can vote, including all our Lawful Permanent Resident and other non-citizen clients. Please remember if you are not a United States citizen, do not to register to vote, do not vote and do not ever claim that you are a United States citizen because those actions can cause serious negative consequences on an immigration application. Instead, Wilson Immigration encourages everyone to take time between now and November 3, 2020 to volunteer for a cause that you believe in or feel strongly about. Bilingual volunteers are much needed for many organizations! Latino Community Foundation reports that there are 32 million eligible Latino voters in the United States, 7.9 million of which who reside in California and that only 69% of eligible Latino voters were registered to vote in 2018.
